Your Video Marketing Success Blueprint

By Mia Lindsey

There are lots of misconceptions regarding video marketing. That's why you really need to do some homework and discover for yourself what the real story is. You shouldn't believe what everyone says, especially when they are being critical, as this is one of the worst things you can. Video marketing can become just as critical as any other tactics you use to promote your business on the internet if you have the right knowledge.

Believe it or not, when you create and publish content with articles, video marketing has some similarities. If you have a lot of articles, then you have strength and effectiveness behind you - the same is true for videos. Make as many videos as you can stand to make and get them out there on the web. Make sure you have a video channel ready to go on YouTube. You can get a lot of traffic from a properly optimized channel that has a lot of content. You will have so much more traffic if you add multiple videos to your channel. Your subscribers will go through the roof. As far as social media sites go, YouTube is the best, second only to Google in terms of being able to bring traffic to your site or blog.

Videos are ideal if you promote software because you can make demonstrations. If any product you promote can be shown to your viewers, then right away start planning on videos. Instead of making a single, long video, think about doing a number of them, with each video analyzing a different aspect. People can react negatively when they see how long a video is. So break them up into very manageable chunks of videos and then you have a series. You have plenty of options of what to show on video, including showing people how to do certain things or how to utilize certain items.

An article about video marketing would not be complete without a word about SEO for your videos. You don't see as many videos on the first page as you used to after a full year of Panda updates and the destruction they caused for many online marketers. Still, you can find them on the first page for a variety of keywords. It's still a good idea to do SEO because videos can still rank successfully for some terms. It's likely that social media sharing as well as great votes have put those videos on the first page. Make sure you add your keyword to the title of the video as well as in the description on your channel.

Compared to many other marketing methods, video marketing is much easier to do. If you gravitate toward what is easiest, then try to get out of that mindset because you want variety in your marketing. Diversity in your promotions is important and will help protect your business.
