When you are angling for a promotion, it is a very tricky business because some people will simply turn into bootlickers, but this is not for me, so I concocted a plan that involved a wine rack. The reason that my plan centered on a wine holder was because I learned that my boss and I both consider ourselves to be oenophiles, or wine enthusiasts. I have always liked wines, but I hadn't gotten very involved in collecting wines, until I heard that there was a promotion opening up, and I wanted to be able to invite my boss over for a wine tasting, where she could be impressed with my new hanging wine rack.
The issue was that I had no clue where I would find such a thing, but when I was talking to my girlfriend about it, she just smiled and told me not to stress about it. The next day, I went into work, wondering what she might have meant, and while I assumed that she had found somewhere that sold what I was looking for, nothing prepared me for what I saw when I got home.
When I walked inside that evening, my jaw almost dropped to the floor, and I saw the most incredible wine rack that was actually made from old wine barrels, which I absolutely loved because I have always been attracted to the whole process of wine making. I was also in for additional surprises as she had also gotten some wine decanters that complemented the design of the rack perfectly.
Now that I had all of the supplies that I had been wanting, I went out to buy some nice bottles of wine for the tasting, which was exciting for me, but also a little intimidating. I bought all the things I thought I would need and then sent out the invitations, and I could hardly contain my excitement when my boss told me she would be coming.
Well, I have to say, the wine tasting was a total success, and my boss told me how much she adored all of my wine accessories, and said that she had a similar design on her wine rack table and wall mounted wine racks. I was sure that my party had been successful when I received some wine gifts from my boss as a thank you, which included an awesome wine aerator that matched perfectly with the rest of my collection, and the best part was I got the promotion!
