Useful Things To Review About Portable Tanning Canopies

By Haywood Hunter

A portable tanning canopy bed makes sense when on the move constantly. Portable tanning canopies may be small but they are just as effective as a full-sized tan bed. You might know, a portable tanning bed uses UV lights to give your skin a darker pigment. This is the skin's natural defense against strong lights that could burn the skin.

While you may be considering taking up tan sessions, there are some things you should do to protect yourself against UV exposure from portable tanning beds. Portability is important. Portable tanning Canopy beds let you get that tan you want on a sunless winter day, but they also offer flexibility. This doesn't mean that tanning is all around safe. While heeding your doctor's warnings, you can maximize the benefits of your portable tanning equipment by following a few simple guidelines.

Recent studies show that UV lights provide you an ample supply of vitamin D. The past decade yielded improved results of the health benefits that portable tanning beds can provide, but not without responsible control. In fact, some studies show that malignant melanoma is caused more by the sun.

Having severe sunburn during the childhood years enhances the risk of melanoma. Increased exposure to the sun can sometimes be an occupational hazard such fishermen, farmers, construction workers, and roofers. Experts say that increased and intermittent exposure to the sun actually makes the skin protect itself by darkening its pigment.

In essence, you can train your skin to protect itself against strong UV rays and the possibility of melanoma. Since UV lights provide your body with vitamin D, it is important to note that some studies indicate that people with vitamin D deficiency are more likely to get melanoma. Lotions provide various antioxidants and moisture for your skin and provides enhanced protection against strong UV rays.

If you use quality lotions, you can enhance your sessions. There are some lotions that will increase your blood flow, which can be useful in tanning your skin. Look for some after-tan lotions that will cool and firm your skin after a session. If you don't use after-tan, your skin may wrinkle more. If you don't have access to an after-tan lotion, virgin olive oil is another alternative as it contains anti-aging components.

In salons, a bathing suit or under that can cover sensitive parts is preferred as well as when using portable tanning equipment. Sensitive parts can be harmed by exposure to ultraviolet rays. Some clothing offer a minimal tan line if one is inclined to care. Responsibly controlling exposure to tan beds in salons will minimize risk of unhealthy skin.

Before buying a full-sized bed, know that most of them will probably take up a 3 1/2 foot wide and 6 1/2 foot long enclosure for the UV lights. Adding the exterior, it will most likely take up a 4 foot wide and 7 1/2 foot long area of space in your home. With that in mind, some beds weigh around 1500 pounds. The dimensions of a full-sized bed would not be ideal for someone on the move or apartment renters above the 1st floor.

The portable tanning canopy is becoming popular because of their size and ease-of-use. Many residents like the canopy because they are lined with ultraviolet lamps and provide a minimalist sense of space. A portable tanning canopy can weigh around 200 pounds. The wheels and the frame make it straightforward to move the item around without the need of a large truck. Canopy beds are ideal for people who are on the move frequently.
