When we found out that my wife was expecting a little girl, we were thrilled and began planning for the christening once the baby arrived, but we got so caught up in other preparations for the baby that just weeks away from the due date, we realized we had not found a christening gown yet. We thought we had better get going with this, so we talked to the priest at our church and made all of the needed arrangements for the christening so that we would have everything ready as much as able.
Once we got all of the arrangements made with the church, we knew that the baby was going to come before we knew it, so we went down to the clothing store we usually shop at thinking that certainly they would have a christening gown. While my wife felt like her hopes were crushed, I told her I would look on the Internet to see if I could find something online while she laid down to take a quick nap. Almost right after I had entered in the payment and shipping information and had placed the order, my wife began to go into contractions and soon enough, we were heading for the hospital for our daughter to be born. We were so enthralled with our new little daughter that we forgot all about the dress we ordered until it arrived on our doorstep, but as soon as we opened it we were blown away by how lovely it was and could barely wait to dress her up in her fancy new dress as see just how adorable she looked in it.
