Pennsylvania has developed an online database system to manage its criminal records. This system is called by many as the Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History. Access to this database is open to the public thus allowing them to also request for a copy of a Pennsylvania arrest records.

The development of this system has helped manage the state's criminal reports. This makes it easier and simpler for the residents to request for a copy of their arrest records anytime they have a need for it. The time spent in the retrieval process has also been lessened which can also help not only the resident but also the government as well.

Such information includes the full name of the individual involved as well as the details of the person's birth. The address of where the individual resides is also indicated on the file. One will also find information about where and when the arrest took place. Details as to how and why the individual has been arrested are also indicated on the file. Additional information that can be found on the document includes the names of the people who are involved with the incident. However, sensitive information such as the names of the witnesses as well as the officer who handled the case is kept confidential for security purposes.

Anybody can use the system; however, residents of Pennsylvania can only request for their personal file, otherwise, an authorization letter has to be presented. Organizations, business, agencies and other individuals who have the authority can easily access the records of another person.

Most websites now have linked and connected their server to the state's online database. This allows a broad and thorough search in order to provide the best possible result to the users. One can choose to pay for the search or get the arrest records free. Doing a free search is made possible by using the website's trial offerings; however, the search conducted is not as thorough compared to the id search. This is the reason why residents of Pennsylvania still prefer the paid option.
