The Process of Producing Leads

How do you come up with leads? Today we are going to track the cycle from the search of paid signups to the initial process of growing leads.

1. Specify the target prospects. Common sense dictates that your products are good for a selected few. There is always that group of people who find value as well as who display high interest in your products and services. Know who these individuals are. Be very particular with the market, such as their age, location, and other demographics. Remember, the other lead generation and nurturing strategies depend on the target leads.

2. Know where to find them. Once you get to define your market, identify where they are usually found. Why is that?. Since marketing tactics cost something, you might as well spend them in places where you can get the highest conversion numbers.

3. Identify your methods. Now you are aware of the target market as well as where they are. Start creating your strategies to capture them. For example, if most of your market is in Facebook, you can create a page they can subscribe and obtain more information. If ever they are avid mobile users, consider mobile marketing ways like creation of apps.

Note: Because of the continuous popularity of the Internet, it is easy for marketers to obtain leads online. However, one should never eliminate offline marketing completely. Always remember that millions of people do not utilize or do not gain access to the Internet. That is still many leads untapped.

4. Motivate them to opt in. There are different steps to nurture leads, but persuading them to opt in is still the the most effective. One, it helps filter leads, separating the good from the bad. Almost always, those who subscribe are individuals who are keenly interested and are conveniently converted to customers later on. Second, electronic messages are more intimate ways of advertising. If a person subscribes to your mailing list, it already means he shows a certain level of trust in you.
