I'm on a mission. I have a mission to encourage as many people as possible with the philosophy of 'give and enrich.' Give and enrich is really valuable in our lives. We've got the opportunity to influence a lot of people in our lifetime. Thus, the more we give, the more we enrich. In giving, you enrich 3 things.
Number one: You enrich yourself. You empower yourself. You start to inspire yourself. That is so potent simply because that is where it all begins. Giving to ourselves seems foreign. You have to give and enrich yourself first. Often, so many of you cannot receive the gift to yourself. Nonetheless, if you can't give to yourself, then you can't continue to share with others. Just like on the airplane, you have to give to yourself by putting on the air mask in the case of an emergency. Eventually, you will give everything away, and you no longer will be able to do anything for anyone. After taking care of you, then you are to take care of others. That is what we need to do in our own lives every day. Give and enrich yourself. Give to yourself so that you can be more, do more and achieve more.
Number two: You have to give and enrich your business. I have always said you deserve to be appropriately and highly compensated for your skill and knowledge. It is okay to profit from doing the terrific work you are doing. You need to know how to be successful in your profession. You have to learn how to run your business most efficiently. We can only rely on ourselves. We cannot depend on others to finance our lives. That's why I say you should give to yourself. A major part of our lives is spent on our careers, so invest in your future by investing in your work.
The best way to invest in your career is to invest in your further knowledge. Invest in audio programs, trainings, seminars, books, and anything you could possibly get a hold on for yourself. Gather as much knowledge as you can. As you have all heard the adage, "Knowledge is power." Even so, knowing just isn't sufficient. You should know how to take action with that knowledge. Many of us invest in knowledge, but when it comes to the application, we are stuck. That is when investing in a mentor is the most helpful. They likely have practiced what they are teaching, therefore, you can be successful by learning their application process of the knowledge you have gained.
Number Three: Give to others. Yes, I do believe in giving. Just as the church says to tithe a percentage, decide on a percentage of your earnings, your knowledge, and your time to give away. Enriching others is rewarding. However, giving does not always mean it has to hurt to be of value. If you give away too much, then you are limited in your giving. It is ok to limit what you give away. You could decide that your time is too valuable to give away. Thus, you can give knowledge away as special reports, an interview, a teleseminar presentation, books, or e-books. You might decide that giving cash is the best use of giving. Then, go with a budget for how much you would like to give annually and stick to that budget.
In giving to your business, others, and others, your life will feel more full and more enriched. Before long, giving almost appears to feel selfish as it might feel that you at times benefit more than the person getting it. Nevertheless, that is ok to feel great about giving. It is ok to be thankful to yourself for being a priority. It is ok to feel good about your business being successful. In all this good feeling for being successful and making more money, you'll be able to give more to others, enriching them, too. Therefore, remember to give and enrich.
