HGP Replacement Parts For Your Car Repair

By Angela West

It is always best to try and learn to fix certain elements of your vehicle on your own. A mechanic is great to have but what about those days when you can't afford one? HGP Replacement Parts could save your time and your money. You will not always be in the position to contact someone for help with your vehicle. This way should your car make a weird sound or suddenly stop you can do your own assessment.

Spark plugs are first on the list. You can get your car manual if you don't know them. These are said to be changed every 30 000 miles unless your manual states differently. They need to be changed by hand, one at a time without altering their order. To make certain they do not lose you can use a wrench to help you tighten everything. So that nothing falls out while you are driving.

Your windshield wiper blades need to replace every 12 months, and you won't need an extra tool to change them. Remove the old while focusing on how they were inserted and put the new ones in the same way. Another easy fit is the air filter, use your manual to find it. Again look at how it is placed, do the same with the new one it also needs to be replaced annually.

Before attending to the oil and oil filter ensures that your car is parked. If it was running be sure to give it time to cool off before you handle the oil. First, jack up your vehicle and get underneath it and empty out the oil from the oil pan. Now you can go change the oil filter and the pour new motor oil into the filter. Close everything well to not waste your new oil.

You obviously can't take the battery out without removing the battery terminals. It is advisable to start with the negative one before you proceed with the rest. Hereafter you must ensure that the posts are clean, if they are not you can use some Coca-cola or reliable cleaning fluid. Then wipe with a rag then you can put your battery back as you found it.(terminals included)

Brake pads are essential for every vehicle, you need to be very careful how you go about replacing them. Jack your car up safely and discard the lugs on your wheels and then remove the wheel. Take out your brake caliper and remove the bolts too. Once all these are removed you should be able to get to your brake pads.

Now that you have removed the caliper the brakes will slide out you will be able to replace them. After this is done put the caliper and bolts back on, and everything else you took out. Take your time to relocate all the pieces you discarded to get to the brakes. So that you can ascertain that you put them all back in safely. To avoid components falling out as you drive.

If you find it challenging to get under your car by yourself for the first time, get a friend to help you. Watch them do it so that you can eventually develop the DIY skill. Reserve the mechanic for the things you really need, no need to constantly pay someone for the easy stuff you can do on your own.
