The Importance Of Production Data Analysis

By Martha Hamilton

Having a competitive edge is an important factor. The idea is that your business is the one with most of the market share with, in turn, provides you with the most profit and awareness. So, how is this possible? A key point is to always be in touch with production data analysis so that you know what is coming into the business and what needs to go out.

As important as this is, you will find that many businesses prefer to keep employees in the dark. This isn t a great experience as it makes staff feel inadequate and as if they are not important enough to know how the company that they work for, is doing. They tend to only share the high-end data with senior s and management whom they feel the information will be safest with.

It is easy to understand that information is an influential part of any business and it is known to either make or break a company. The idea of sharing this with only management is that it is assumed that someone with a higher power can be aware of this because they are the people who will use this to make decisions. However, the bottom line is that other colleagues should just as much be involved.

The biggest reason why it cannot be shared with anyone else in the business is that of the fear that they won t be able to make choices that will be in tune with technology and the latest offerings. Technology has made its place in the market and because it is a big deal for most companies, they prefer seniors to take control.

In order to see success, play out, it is important to allow the staff who are on the ground or interacting with customers to make choices. They are able to easily provide real-time conversation which will impact what changes the business needs to make. For example, sales teams are working directly with consumers and partners. They are the best people to brainstorm with when it comes to reviewing company success.

With the tools that are available today, it is actually quite easy for employees to stay abreast and note down their findings. Tools such as Excel will allow them to input data and also present a visual representation to the larger team. For companies more digital savvy, they can use tools such as slack to make the communication a lot easier and quicker.

When it happens with immediate effect it shows clients that you see a demand and you are happy to deal with it. By leaving things for too long, you are providing competitors with a chance to beat you at it and to steal your clients by showing that they are more pro-active and interested in consumer needs than you are.

We live in a world where technology is taking over. When the market speaks, you need to make quick decisions so that you answer them with immediate effect. When you leave certain choices for, later on, you are allowing your competitor to spot it and deal with it before you do.
