By Jaxson N. Renderos

There are quite a lot of clover species. These plants can be used in lawn gardening and turn out perfectly just like other kinds of flowers. They are widely considered since they require less attention compared to other types of gardening flowers and are suitable for any weather condition. Below are details on how to garden Atlanta clover to consider.

Ensure that you have planted your cloves during the right season and weather. The difference in weather during the various season can affect the growth of clovers. You can plant them at any time in a year if your place experiences warm conditions throughout the year. A place with frequent cold season should plant when the temperatures are above four degrees Celsius.

Evaluate the species within your reach to select the most suitable one. The Dutch white clover stands to be the best species to plant in a lawn. This is because it has white flowers which brings an aesthetic appeal to your background and their low height which makes them suitable to be grown in a grass meadow. They are also easy to maintain due to their capacity to provide their own nitrogen.

Check on the PH of your soil. Clovers need an average PH to grow. Therefore, one is required to use a testing kit to determine whether the PH of the soil within his or her lawn is suitable enough. Low level of PH can be treated using lime whereas high levels can be adjusted using sawdust or dead moss plants. Alternatively, check for a species which can survive in your lawn despite the level of PH it has.

Use the right method to prepare your lawn. A meadow requires being tilled and treated against any weeds in about one month before the plantation process. Make sure you have used relevant herbicides which are suitable for the type of weed in your lawn. Moreover, water the land regularly to keep the place wet.

Prepare the seeds for planting. The seeds require being mixed with sand and sawdust before they are planted. This is done to ascertain that they spread evenly during their plantation. A one hundred square feet lawn requires about twenty-seven grams of seeds. Make sure that the mixture is enough to spread evenly on your meadow depending on its size.

Use the right planting procedure. The correct planting method requires one to spread the mixture on the ground evenly. One can use a rake or a spreader depending on the size of the ground. Water the lawn until the plants have started to mature.
