Leveraging Your Blog To Earn Income On The Internet

By Roman Deluna

There are many opportunities for making money online full or part time but one of the easiest to get started is blogging. Having your own blog is very rewarding and you have a lot of flexibility in monetizing it. Four of the commonly used methods are to promote affiliate offers, to sell advertising space to businesses on a pay-per-click basis, or provide ad a space for companies on a cost-per- action basis, and of the methods available probably the one that makes the most sense is using your blog to promote your own products especially when you get started.

One of the simpler approaches is to promote affiliate offers on your blog. It is among the easiest, least expensive, and quickest way to get started. The problem with this method is that you need to join a network that provides affiliate products that you can promote, find a product that will convert easily, and figure out how to incorporate it into your blog. The basic premise for this type of monetization is that the merchant will pay you a commission for any sales you make from your website.

The key to affiliate marketing is finding a product you want to promote and getting an affiliate link to promote it. You may use this link in any of your promotions so they can track where the traffic came from and pay you the appropriate commission. Often the company will make various resources available such as such as banners, classified ad posts, or email swipes you can use to help you promote their product. All you need to do is brand them with your affiliate code and add them to you blog or website.

The next option you may want to use is to include AdSense ads from Google. This requires setting up an account with Google and is probably the most common type of pay-per-click advertising people with websites use. It entails making advertising space available on your site by pasting an ad code provided to you and deciding where you want the ads to show. Every time someone clicks on one of the ad links you get paid. The best part of this type of advertising is that Google keep track of everything for you.

Most businesses will use your Alexa rating as a factor on choosing your site to advertise on. If you are not familiar with Alexa just go to Alexa.com and enter your website and it will show you your worldwide ranking and in some cases your USA ranking. A small warning before you do this you need to realize that it may be a humbling experience.

If you genuinely have an eye for publicizing, you may consider offering advancing space on your site subtly. This option is unmistakably the most go about as you are accountable for finding the associations who need to advance on your site. When they start publicizing, you will be reliably included in being updated with the most recent. This option won`t captivate everyone generally in light of the possibility of it not working well.

The last option which is the one I currently use is to promote your own opportunity or products if you have some. This is without a doubt the most straightforward approach for a beginner as all it requires is blogging in whatever your niche happens to be. There are some tailor made opportunities out there for just this type of option. You can get a blog set up for you with all the monetization already in place which makes this a very practical approach.

Regardless of what choice you make, there is a possibility that you may not do well initially. Do not let this deter you in any way as success in most cases comes from failure. All of these methods have their own pluses and minuses and the only way you will find one that works for you is by trial and error. The good news is that most are inexpensive to implement though they may require a bit of a time investment on your part. Don't forget that blogging is a long term process to earning an income or making money online. Don't get frustrated or discouraged when you do not see any results after a few months. I would give it 6- 9 months before you can expect significant results judging by my experience. Just stay true to the course and celebrate your small successes.
